Lionel Messi Reacts To Rumours That He Spent €37,330 Dinner Bill With Luis Suarez and Cesc Fabregas

Lionel Messi has been enjoying some well-deserved rest and relaxation on holiday in the last few weeks alongside his friends and family. The Argentine forward soaked up the sun in Ibiza with Barcelona teammates Luis Suarez and former teammate Cesc Fabregas, now at Chelsea.

The trio were joined by their respective families on the Balearic island, where they sunbathed on a yacht and sampled the local cuisine.

While the talented footballers were still in Ibiza a picture of a very long restaurant bill emerged online and quickly went viral.

It was alleged that the whopping €37,330 (£32,630) bill showed the cost of a meal shared by Messi, Fabregas and Suarez, and their significant others.

Some people on social media pointed out that this may be unlikely, given that it appears to show the group ordered 41 bottles of champagne.

But it caused enough of a conversation to force Messi into reacting to the claim.

Taking to social media, the Argentine responded to the post on a page, which has since taken down the picture of the bill (meaning Messi’s comment went with it).

The Argentine wrote: “Jajajajajajajaja que manera de hablar al pedo. Como inventan. lo mas lindo es que la gente se lo cree.”

Translated into English, the post reads: “Hahahahahahaha, what a way to talk s***. How they invent. The most beautiful thing is that people believe it.”
